Senior Students perform for a cause at
Dancers Give Back 2018!

For the fourth consecutive year, Cumbrae dancers will participate in the charitable event Dancers Give Back!  This show, held annually at Algonquin Commons Theatre, raises money for local charities.  Last year's event raised close to $50,000 for Ottawa's Youth Services Bureau!  Over 21 Ottawa area dance studios participated, along with invited professionals, and University dance teams.  It is a memorable event that Cumbrae is very proud to be a part of!

Buy your tickets to watch the performance at www.ticketfly.com

Cassandre Leroux - role of Clara in The Nutcracker with Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montréal!

Eleven year old Cumbrae dancer, Cassandre Leroux, was one of two young dancers selected to play the role of Clara in Les Grands Ballet Canadiens de Montréal's production of The Nutcracker. Cassandre not only performed the role at Place Des Arts in Montreal, but toured with the company to perform in Quebec City's production as well.

This was Cassandre's 3rd production of The Nutcracker; She has played the role of a party girl in both The Royal Winnipeg Ballet and The Alberta Ballet's productions.

Why do YOU Dance?

In anticipation of their wonderful event, Dancers Give Back started a campaign during the month of January called #whyidance.  The campaign asked dancers of all ages to speak out on what dance brings to their lives.  Responses came in from dancers of all ages and stages in their careers.  Many Cumbrae students, faculty, & alumni got involved and expressed their thoughts on the topic.
